Hi friends! Valentine's Day is coming up - it's on the 14th of February every year. This blog post is dedicated to some romantic date ideas for Valentine's Day (but you probably can do them any time you feel like being romantic) #ValentinesDay

Romantic Date Ideas for Valentine's Day

  • Do a puzzle together

  • Cook a meal for each other

  • Book a staycation in a fancy hotel or Air BnB

  • Watch the sunrise or sunset together

  • Have an outdoor picnic (or an indoor one if the weather is bad)

  • Create a Valentine's Day themed Charcuterie Board

  • Go to an arcade (I love Time Zone, Melbourne also has B. Lucky & Sons in Melbourne Central that Luke and I used to go to a lot)

  • Go on a bakery crawl

  • Take a cocktail class together

  • Make a scrapbook of your relationship

  • Try out a wine and chocolate tasting (I highly recommend this one, it's great)

  • Have a rom-com movie marathon

  • Go out to your favourite restaurant

  • Create a treasure hunt for each other

  • Go out to karaoke

  • Make a couple's bucket list

  • Take personality tests together

  • Have a spa day together where you pamper each other with massages, pedicures, manicures, fask masks etc.

  • Go to a museum or art gallery for the day together

  • Surprise your partner with breakfast in bed OR go out for brunch! There's a brunch spot called Old Man Drew in Ascot Vale, Melbourne that I've been wanting to try, has a very Alice in Wonderland feel to it!

  • Recreate your very first date (Luke and I did this for the anniversary of one year after our first date - I hope that makes sense)

  • Go ice skating or roller skating together

  • Make each other a playlist (like a mixed tape)

  • If you do live in Melbourne, I recommend checking out the Museum of Desire (R18)

  • If your city allows it, get a hot air balloon ride (this is more on the expensive side and for those who are morning people)

  • Try out an escape room

  • Take a walk through a nature reserve or botanical gardens

  • Go out for ice cream (my personal favourite)

  • Go to your favourite bookstore and buy each other a book

  • Do that viral TikTok challenge where you both go to a shop like a supermarket or Kmart/Target and you buy each other things e.g., buy a snack that reminds them of you, buy something in their favourite colour, buy something that you think they need etc. And then swap when you get home. "Here's" a blog with the full list

  • Go to a comedy club

  • Find a hidden bar

  • Go to a drive-in movie

  • Bake something together. Bonus points if it's Valentine's Day themed.

  • Take a pottery class together

  • Do a paint and sip night

  • Go to some markets

  • Rent a cabin in the woods

  • Create your own high tea experience at home

  • Get a psychic reading or your birth chart read

  • Go stargazing

Let me know in the comments below which date night you chose!

Much love,

Ash
