Kia Ora! Happy Thursday friends and fam! I hope you are having a lovely Thursday. Melbourne's weather this week is not great, it really feels like winter and not the middle of spring. It's overcast and absolutely freezing outside, like I still need my puffer jacket (or a hoody). It's like being at the bottom of the South Island when it's really cold and rainy. Sunshine please come out soon!
Yesterday I managed to get three walks in! They were all relatively short but I got up to ~8000 steps and was so proud of myself. I was very tired after. BUT hey, it's better than nothing. Some days are good days, and some days are bad days, and some days are more average. Luke and I also made a cute wee charcuterie board for our date night last night and watched the movie "Murder Mystery 2". It was funny but I feel like Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler don't have much chemistry so they should have made them best friends rather than husband and wife. It's an easy watch though (I still think the first one is better). We then went and watched some of the sunset in the evening at a park near our house but it wasn't great last night. I'm really hoping we are going to get to see a lot more sunsets over spring and summer. I also forgot to say that we found a doggo wandering the streets on one of our walks yesterday as well. His name was Brodie and luckily he had his address on his name tag so we escorted him home (looked like someone had left the gate open, so hopefully he doesn't get out again).
Today, I really struggled to get out of bed and slept till about 8am, I mean it's also shark week so that's definitely not helping my energy levels but when I woke up, I felt like I hadn't slept at all. I've done one walk today, which I'm grateful for but don't want to push myself too much as IBS isn't great today either. But that's okay. I also had what felt like a really long dream as well. A lot of it is blurry now, but I think I was on some sort of travel trip with people from my high school (mainly acquaintances) and we were near some water/doing water-based activities and I had this necklace chain with both my work keys and house keys on them and it was really important that I didn't lose said keys. However, I was doing a random water-based activity (maybe kayaking or whale watching) and pulled my necklace too hard and ended up losing the keys. While we were all searching for my keys in this dream, I was observing someone else and they had really changed, it was like someone was dr*gging them (it kinda felt like something that would happen in a sci fi show) and someone else just said that's life to me. Anyway, we then found the keys and I woke up. I just googled what losing keys in a dream might mean and apparently, it's a sign of frustration and anxiety (not surprising at all). Also finding a key in a dream means you have met your soulmate. All very interesting!
I've also been doing some research for a few roadies that Luke and I want to do over the summer, watching some YouTube, and experimenting with Canva / Social Media things. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself today and just let myself rest as much as I can for a faster recovery. But I can't help the anxiety-ridden thoughts of feeling guilty with myself.

I found all of these on my laptop (so not logged into Tik Tok, but maybe I'll expose my fyp one day). Hopefully, the funny videos made the scary videos, a little less scary.
For today's question, I want to know, "What's the best restaurant you've ever eaten at?" Let me know in the comments below. For me, it is most likely "Fiddlesticks" in CHCH, NZ. The first place I ever had duck fat potatoes and they were so good.
That's all for today!
Ka kite,
Much love
Ash xx
The Eatery at Maggie Beer's Farm Shop is the best place I have eaten at. Amazing food, beautiful setting, good company, such a beautiful day
