Kia Ora friends! Happy Sunday, hope the Sunday scaries aren't spooking in this gloomy Sunday evening. Last night the cafe/bar across the road had a private function and they were SOOO noisy past midnight that I barely got any sleep. Nevertheless, Luke and I had a jam packed Sunday.
Today I am pleasantly surprised with how much energy I've had (especially with lack of sleep - I hope that things only get better, although my stomach does still hate me). Anyway, this morning we started off the day with poached eggs on sourdough and some coffees, then I was about to get ready for the day and my nose started bloody bleeding so that was no fun. After awhile it subsided so I was able to go have a shower and get ready.
We then went on a bit of an adventure to explore some of the "Merri Creek Trail" - a trail that is approx 21km. However, we only explored the Coburg area of it (so about 4-5km all up for us, which I was pretty impressed I managed to do). There were a lot of cute doggos out and we saw a couple of Butcherbirds there too. Butcherbirds are said to symbolise strength, courage, and adaptability and I've been wanting to get a camera shot of one since I first saw one (like 1.5 years ago and I finally did). I was so excited! See below.
After a bit of a walk, we came home and had some lunch (cheese and tomato toasties for us today) and then we decided we wanted to do more exploring so we headed back to the Woodlands Historic Park we went to last Saturday to see if we could spot some more wildlife. We didn't see too many birds but we did see a few kangaroos! Too cute.
After that little trek, my body did start to feel super exhausted again so it was time for us to head home and chill out for the rest of the day. Luke headed off to do our groceries and I caught up on the rest of the errands around home. We then had a cheeky mini cheese and crackers snack and a glass of Forever Sunday 2022 Cabernet. Yum!
It was nice to have this little energy boost today so we will see how the rest of the week goes!
For today's question, I want to know "what's your favourite wine?" Let me know in the comments below. I like a good rose (b*tch wine I know lol) or a shiraz or merlot. Definitely enjoy trying different wines.
Hope you lovelies all had great weekend! See you tomorrow :)
Much love,
Ash xx
