Kia Ora friends! What a sad sad day for Australian politics. I mean I'm not allowed to vote still being a NZ citizen but seriously? C'mon, do better Australia. For the cr*ppy campaigning of people who say if you don't no, vote no. It's absolutely disgusting, educate yourself, and then make an informed decision. Mini rant over.
Today has been a bit of a bad mental health day for me, getting irritable at little things and upset/overwhelmed by others genuinely going from one extreme emotion to the other (I guess that's where my Moon sign Gemini comes in the bipolar emotions). So I don't quite know how long this post will be but I am sticking to my OG plan of writing daily blogs for now. Eventually, I think I will ease off and do less posts but this seems to be helping me with more or a purpose in life - gah wish I just did something like this sooner! But alas, I do have the attitude of "It's never too late" to start. I feel like I might have said that in a previous post but can't remember haha.
Today was kinda eventful, my tummy is feeling a bit better (feeling less like I have gastro now - so I think I might have caught a tummy bug somewhere this week) but still having a few IBS issues with the iron supplements and my energy levels are still really low. I did over 7000 steps today and I was SOOOO exhausted by 4pm I just wanted to crawl up in a blanket and fall asleep but here I am persevering and getting through it. Anyway, this morning Luke and I had poached eggs on sourdough (it seems to be a weekend thing for us), then caught up on a few errands/chores around the house. We then went to Assembly Lane to buy some CHEESE because don't we all love cheese (the cheese factory Alba). I wanted to look around a few more shops but there were a lot of people there today and so many lines (something I'm not used to - having to line up places) so I got a bit overwhelmed so we decided to do a quick Kmart run and get some lunch. After lunch, we grabbed a quick treat from a bakery - a vanilla slice and a caramel brownie slice.
We then went for a walk around our neighbourhood and made friends with a super cute kitty cat and saw our husky friend that lives near us. They always love some good pats - see below for the cute kitty who befriended Luke and us.
Then tonight we made a yummy vego dinner - tofu and rice noodles are now settling down to watch a funny movie "Murder Mystery"
For today's question, what's your go to bakery item? Let me know in the comments below. Mine is usually a ham and cheese croissant, apple/pear danish, and any type of cake!
That's all for today. See you tomorrow.
Much love,
Ash xx
