Good evening blog friendos! How's the Sunday scaries going for you? I am definitely feeling them after the weekend! We had a lovely weekend exploring the woodlands yesterday and a day in the city today.
I promised yesterday that I'd share some birdy photos I got yesterday, so here you go!
From right to left: Rainbow Lorikeet, Grey Fantail, Crimson Rosella, Sulpher-Crested Cockatoo, Superb Fairy Wren, Australian Raven.
Today, Luke and I cooked ourselves poached eggs on sourdough toast for brekkie (as Sunday is our eggs day - and I'm slowly getting better at getting more of a perfect poached egg). Then, we went into the city for The Friends Experience in Docklands. It was pretty cool and after we had lunch at "Triim" Cafe in Hardware Lane in the City. Really good food but not amazing staff. I had an iced coffee and the French Toast with bacon and Luke had the Breakfast Burger and a long black (so delicious).
We did A LOT of walking and I was pretty stoked to get over 10,000 steps today, but I did have to come home and have a nap with how tired I was. Here are some pics from our trip to the Friends Experience! It only took about 40 minutes to go through and there's lovely staff throughout to help you take photos on your phone (which IMO, is much better than having to pay for those professional photos at all the touristy places). But they do get you at the end with their merch store (and it's definitely worth getting something for the nostalgia of it). I feel like with how often Friends was on TV, it's imprinted in my brain.
Then, this afternoon, Luke kindly did the groceries and we went for a bit of an adventure down to the river to watch the sunset and see some doggos. I am hoping that over the summer, we see many gorgeous sunsets around Australia. We also spotted a few more fairy wrens and some shriketits (birds). Here's some pics from my phone.
That's all for today!
For today's question, I want to know what your favourite place to watch the sunset is? Let me know in the comments below.
So far in Australia, mine has been Glenelg beach in Adelaide and in NZ, sumner beach for sure!
Much love,
Ash xx
Love the Friends stuff, very jealous as I still watch it almost daily haha. Favourite sunset location would be Kai Iwi Beach which is a local beach near where I live
Think in Aus were pretty spoilt with sunsets and places to watch them. My favourite place to watch the sunset would have to be the Hay Plains in NSW. There's not much out there, but because it's the flattest place in Australia (one of the flattest places in the world), the sunsets are spectacular. Would love to go back there and watch one!
