Day 16 of "Figuring it Out" - One Year w/ Luke (+ cute cows)

Updated: Sep 26

Hello everybody! How are you going today? It's a gorgeous day outside (29 degrees whooo). I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather and it's finally daylight savings weekend in Melbourne. Remember to turn your clocks forward tonight.

Today is mine and Luke's official one-year anniversary and we've just checked into our Air Bnb for the night in Gippsland. It has some highland cute cows and miniature goats. Luke also got me some Tawny Port Wine and a surprise romance package of champagne, chocolates, and flowers as a present.

We had lunch at Frankie's Cafe in Warragul. I had the vego eggs benedict and a spiced chai latte and Luke had an iced long black, Korean Chicken Burger and some onion rings. It was yummy af. I was also really jealous of the person who ordered the Smashed Avo sitting outside as well. See some photos below!

After lunch we went to the Warragul chocolate shop where they had many NZ snacks so of course I picked up a pinky bar and a perky nana (the latter I always find to be too chewy but it was a NZ snack in Australia so I had to have it).

On our drive from Melbourne we also saw a few King Parrots (never seen them in the wild before so that was pretty special) and stopped at a few walking tracks. Tonight, we will be going out for dinner and then celebrating! Woo. I'll post more pics tomorrow of our adventures. Hopefully, we have an amazing food experience tonight too.

A super short one from me today (mainly because we have been driving today and my brain hurts so I can't think of heaps to write about). But, I promise I'll be back tomorrow with even more exciting updates and photos.

Also side note, our Air Bnb is at the back of a farm and doesn't have an oven (but they gave us fresh eggs for brekkie and Luke didn't know how he was going to cook his eggs, until I told him there will be an element, he just has to look). So I opened the drawers and found a portable element (this sounded a lot funnier in my head).

Happy AFL Grand Final Day!

For today's question, I want to know, how do you like your eggs cooked? Poached, fried, or scrambled? I love poached eggs but also a big fan of a chilli scramble too.

Peace out

Much love,

Ash xx
