The YouTube video below was originally designed to be either a quick Instagram reel or TikTok video, hence why it's filmed vertically (or portrait mode) and then I realised, you couldn't upload videos longer than 10 minutes on those apps. So I'm uploading to YouTube and seeing how we go with making content.
I hope I can help just one person with this Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe! Also, my love for Chocolate Chip Cookies stems from my late grandad (on my dad's side) who made the best ever cookies - Chocolate Chips and YoYo's were his specialty BUT I've never been able to replicate it and I've made a lot of cookies in my life. So I hope ya'll enjoy this recipe. Let me know in the comments if you make it!
You can also take out the MnM's and just have plain choccy chip bikkies!
Makes 20 - 30 cookies (I think - depends how small or big you size your cookies).
Ingredients
300 grams butter (softened)
2 eggs
1 cup castor sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups plain flour
2 tsp vanilla
A bag of chocolate chips
Mini m&ms
Method
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 160 degrees C (fan forced) or 180 degrees C if not fan forced and line two baking trays.
Step 2: Beat butter and sugars together in a bowl until well combined and smooth. Then add in two eggs and vanilla, and combine.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, sift in 3 cups of plain flour and then stir into your wet bix.
Step 4: Once combined, add in your chocolate chips and m&'ms.
Step 5: Start rolling out your cookie dough into small balls and lay onto baking trays. Once all your cookies are on the tray, press down with a fork (and optional, add extra chocolate chips here).
Step 6: Bake in the oven for 16 minutes and then take them out for cooling. The once cool, move to a wire rack (don't worry if they go together like mine because you can break them apart and just call them rustic). Please note that you still want the cookies to be kinda soft when you take them out of the oven. If they are way too hard, you've over cooked them!
And that's my current chocolate chip + m&m's recipe!
