Who doesn't love a good ol' Mandela effect? For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Mandala effect, essentially, it is a widespread collective false memory that stemmed from the belief that Nelson Mandela passed away in prison in the 1980s and not in 2013. It's a really interesting phenomenon to explore and I've already done a post on this in one of my daily blogs (Day 9). People also seem quite interested in learning about new Mandela Effects all the time, so today, we are going to explore "11 Contemporary Mandala Effect Examples". So let's get into it. I've found these just on the interwebs.

People remember there being 51 or 52 states in the U.S.A. However, there are only 50 states. For some reason, I always thought there was more than 50 - https://www.debunkingmandelaeffects.com/51-or-52-states-in-the-united-states-of-america/
Many people believe that the colour "Chartreuse" is a red colour. However, it is an acidic green but many people swear there has been a red called chartreuse. The cute and loveable character Curious George has never had a tail (I think this one is due to association because George is referred to a monkey so we just assume he would have a tail) - https://skepchick.org/2022/08/did-curious-george-have-a-tail-study-examines-the-mandela-effect/
The character Benny the Bull from Dora the Explorer never had a nose ring (I swear when I was little he did, it's freaky) - https://mandela-effect.fandom.com/wiki/Does_Benny_The_Bull_Have_a_Nose_Ring%3F
People remember that Spongebob Squarepants character Sandy Cheeks wore a backpack in the show. However, she wore nothing on her back (I assume this one is probably due to her wearing her water/space suit thingo where it looks like something should be on her back) - https://www.reddit.com/r/MandelaEffect/comments/117080h/sandy_cheeks_had_a_backpack/
People remember the "KitKat" logo being "Kit-Kat" with a dash in between. Some people attribute this to when KitKat changed their recipe - https://mandelaeffect.net/kit-kat-mandela-effect/
Mickey Mouse wore suspenders - in reality, he did not, there was nothing holding up his shorts - https://mandela-effect.fandom.com/wiki/Mickey_Mouse:_Suspenders_or_No_Suspenders
"Smokey the Bear" is actually just "Smokey Bear" - https://mandela-effect.fandom.com/wiki/Smokey_The_Bear_Doesn%27t_Exist
It's not really a contemporary one because it's from 1937 but oh well, the line in Snow White that the evil Queen says is actually "Magic Mirror on the wall" NOT "Mirror, mirror on the wall". Honestly mind blown by this one - https://mandela-effect.fandom.com/wiki/Never_Said_%22Mirror_Mirror%22
